NetGame was already responsible for video slots such as the five-reel Wild Buffalo, Clover Stones and Dancing Lanterns and stated that its orchard-themed Fruit Burst moreover features a high volatility 96.5% return to player ratio as well as ‘simple and enjoyable play’ that is ‘perfect for beginners.’ Extra entertainment.
Fruity Burst is created by Virtue Fusion, a subdivision of Playtech. It’s not a standard slot, and although it may sound as an intriguing compliment, we honestly wish it was a standard slot.
Fruity Burst Slots
- Another thing that makes Fruity Burst unusual is the fact that there are no wild symbols or Scatter symbols in this game. You can’t expect to see a bonus game, a progressive jackpot or some Free Spins either. This online slot comes with a straightforward gameplay which has proven to be interesting.
- Plot of the game carries players to the ocean beach, right to a bar that serves big wins and money. This win-both-ways slot is here to bring gamblers huge winnings. With its smooth and clear mechanics, the game is a great choice for both new and seasoned players. 5 reels of Fruitburst slot abound with ripe fruit: oranges, lemons, apples.
First of all, why do all the fruit-symbols have to look like they’ve been overdozed with some really heavy shit? It’s freaking disturbing. Although, not nearly as much as the guy (a storekeeper?) who stands by the reels. This is indescribable, just take a look yourself.
Gameplay
The gameplay is simple, not to say primitive. When you hit “Play” (not “spin”, another proof that this is not a slot), the fruits fall onto a grid (5x5). If there’s 5 or more matching symbols are connected (horizontally or vertically) - you win something. The more fruits are connected - the higher the win (and some fruits are more valuable than others). This is it, end of paragraph. No bonuses, no free spins, no wilds, nothing.
The gameplay is simple, not to say primitive. It’s a “match-5” game with no bonuses or special symbols whatsoever
Our Opinion
Fruity Burst Slot Machine
Fruity Burst is weird and boring. Not a healthy combination at all. Give it a try, maybe you’ll find it relaxing, and a nice change from the traditional slots. We wouldn’t bet on it though.
If you want something really simple, click here to play Fruity Burst. It can hardly get more simple than that.

Online slots fans will be well aware that there s an ever-increasing list of fruit-themed games tempting us to part with our money. Fruity Burst is what we would categorise as an arcade game rather than a slot and it’s from Playtech/Virtue Fusion; the concept is very simple and it even features a moustachioed greengrocer to keep an eye on proceedings.
Fruity Burst is played on a 5 x 5 grid set against the wall of a fruit shop and we particularly like the aforementioned shopkeeper who watches over proceedings to the right of the reels. The flat cap, the huge moustache and the sad eyes suggest a character who has just about has enough of selling fruit but for some reason carries on.
All the symbols are fruit, there are six and each has a name so we have:
- Cherry the tomato
- Lester the strawberry
- Eureka the lemon
- Chester the grape
- Pippin the apple
- Jaffa the orange
There are no wilds or scatter symbol in this game.
Gameplay
Gameplay is simple but addictive and the aim is to create vertical or horizontal lines of five matching symbols. You will be paid out for that combo depending on the value of the symbol after which those symbols involved will disappear, allowing more fruit characters to drop into their places. If any new combos are created the process will continue until no more wins are creates. At the same time a glass to the left of the grid will slowly fill up with juice from the winning combos.
Possible stakes range from £0.20 to £10.00 and you can set up to 50 Autoplay spins.
Verdict
Fruit Burst is a simple but addictive gaming experience and a decent addition to the ranks of fruit-themed games available. Give it a go and keep that greengrocer happy – there’s an RTP of 95.00%.
